FAQs
Why Chiropractic?
Chiropractic care focuses on diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal issues by addressing the root cause of dysfunction, not just the symptoms.
It offers a non-invasive, drug-free approach to pain relief, injury recovery, and overall wellness.
By restoring proper alignment and function to the body, chiropractic care helps alleviate discomfort, improve mobility, and enhance the body's natural healing processes.
Whether you're dealing with chronic pain, recovering from an injury, or looking to optimize your health, chiropractic care offers a holistic approach to achieving and maintaining balance in your body, promoting long-term health and preventing future issues.
What can Chiropractic help with?
At our clinic we can help with a wide range of issues related to the spine, muscles, and joints.
Our chiropractor successfully treats conditions such as back pain, neck pain, headaches, joint problems, hip or shoulder dysfunctions and sports injuries.
Chiropractic care can also be effective for more chronic conditions like arthritis or wear and tear.
Although our therapy is an effective tool to recover from a specific issue, it also works to enhance overall wellness and as injury prevention.
What are the appointments like?
Our appointments divide between Initials and Regulars.
Initial appointments are for patients that have never been seen by our chiro before and they last 60 mins. They begin with a chat about medical history and lifestyle, progress to a physical exam and conclude with the treatment.
Regular appointments are 30 mins and they include a brief physical exam and the treatment.
Our chiropractic treatments include a mix of different techniques such as muscle release, trigger point therapy, pelvis block, drop table, chiropractic adjustments, dry needling and taping.
In order to maintain the positive effects of the treatment and to address the main dysfunction that brought up the issue in the first place, our chiropractor often prescribes therapeutic exercises as well.
What to wear at the appointment?
It is recommended that you wear comfortable clothes for your chiropractic appointment.
Our chiro will ask you to take your shoes and t-shirt off and medical gowns are available for female patients.
What to do after the appointment?
After a chiropractic appointment, our body go into a parasympathetic state, which is optimal for resting and recovering. Ideally, you would have a relaxing day after the treatment, eat nutritious food and drink plenty of water. It is also advised to have a gentle walk to enhance the healing process.

Is Chiropractic covered by Medicare?
While Medicare doesn't directly cover general chiropractic appointments, it can help offset the cost for those with chronic musculoskeletal conditions.
If you have a chronic musculoskeletal condition, talk to your GP about receiving Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) referrals.
With EPC referrals, Medicare can cover a significant portion of the cost for up to 5 chiropractic appointments per year.
