A Modern, Empowering Approach to Chiropractic Care
At Thirroul Chiropractic & Health, we go beyond the traditional model of chiropractic treatment.
Our approach blends manual therapy with modern, evidence-based strategies that address not just the pain itself, but the deeper reasons why it persists and limits your life.

Pain can be confusing, and often, it can feel like it’s taking control. Many patients arrive believing their body is fragile, damaged, or unable to cope. But the truth is: the body is strong, adaptable, and designed to heal. Sometimes what holds people back isn’t the injury itself, but the fear, uncertainty, and habits that develop around the pain.

This is where our approach stands apart.

We combine hands-on chiropractic techniques (including soft tissue work, adjustments, dry needling and more) with Cognitive Functional Therapy principles, an approach that helps you understand your pain, overcome fear of movement, and rebuild confidence in your body.

Treatments are thorough and deeply personalised, with the purpose of helping you become more independent, not reliant.

Our goal is simple: to help you get back to the things you love doing, without fear, without confusion, and with a renewed belief in your body’s resilience.

Riccardo Mura
Chiropractor
Riccardo is the principal chiropractor at Thirroul Chiropractic & Health. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chiropractic from Central Queensland University and a Master’s degree in Chiropractic from Macquarie University, where he completed advanced training in a range of chiropractic and manual therapy techniques.

Over the years, Riccardo’s practice has evolved into a modern, patient-centred approach that blends skilled manual therapy with contemporary, evidence-based strategies. While he continues to use chiropractic adjustments, muscle release techniques and dry needling, Riccardo now integrates Cognitive Functional Therapy principles to address the deeper contributors to persistent pain.

His focus is on understanding each person’s story, reducing fear around movement, and helping patients rebuild confidence in their bodies. Rather than offering quick, temporary fixes, Riccardo prioritises long appointments, personalised care, and treatments that empower patients to become independent and return to the activities they love, without fear or limitation.

With a strong background in fitness, Riccardo helps patients of all ages navigate pain, overcome setbacks, and unlock lasting change.

Outside the clinic, Riccardo enjoys training in the gym, running, hiking, exploring personal growth, and cooking, interests that reflect his holistic approach to health and wellbeing.
